研究興趣

1. 陰道鞭毛蟲系統生物學:陰道滴蟲是非病毒源的性病中,最盛行的病原體;而且會提高患者感染人類愛滋病毒的危險性。隨著臨床上抗藥株的增加,陰道滴蟲症儼然成為公共衛生上的重大威脅。同時這是目前世界上擁有最多基因數的物種,這個基因的存在,超過人的基因的總數,這對未來研究對人類有致病性的寄生蟲,都是一個最重要的基礎研究。隨著這隻寄生蟲基因體被解開後,讓人更容易勘得其中緣由。我們目前使用基因表達晶片,二維電泳,miRNA 晶片,來觀察鐵離子對該寄生蟲生理上與致病機轉的影響。

2. 多形性膠質母細胞瘤系統生物學:多形性膠質母細胞瘤 (glioblastoma multiforme; GBM) 是大腦最常見的惡性腫瘤,也是不折不扣的腦癌,如僅使用手術治療,中期存活僅有3-4個月;加上手術後放射治療,可延長至 10 個月;加手術後放療及 BCNU,可將中期存活再延長一點至一年,但是五年存活率一般仍為零。我們目前使用基因表達晶片,二維電泳,miRNA 晶片,array CGH 與大鼠動物模式來探討 GBM 在臨床上致病,癒後等相關之基因表達。並以 Kinase 為主幹,探討 GBM 癌化的訊息傳遞模式。
